چکیده
This study aimed to assess the effects of diets containing spineless cactus genotypes resistant carmine cochineal insect (Dactylopius opuntiae) on liver condition sheep. Thirty-six non-castrated Santa Inês male sheep (six months age and average initial body weight 22.0 ± 2.9 kg) were assigned a completely randomized design, with three treatments 12 replicates. The animals fed diet Tifton hay as exclusive roughage (control) two more in which was partially replaced by ‘Miúda’ or ‘Orelha de Elefante Mexicana’ (OEM.) cactus. randomly slaughtered at 86 days after 16-h solid fast. use cactus, regardless genotype, increased caused inflammatory processes necrosis parenchyma. Spineless for confined days, despite causing tissue damage, such inflammation death process hepatocytes, does not compromise gain.

Carcass characteristics of lambs fed spineless cactus as a replacement for sugarcane
OBJECTIVE Fresh sugarcane has been a new roughage source for ruminant's in semiarid regions, a function of the decline of sugar and alcohol industry in recent years. However, there is little data published regarding lambs fed sugarcane associated with spineless cactus. This study evaluated the effect of sugarcane replacement with spineless cactus (0%, 33%, 66%, and 100%) in the diet of Santa In...

Introduction: one of the minimally invasive methods of treatmenting liver malignancies is Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) which can be applied to primary or secondary tumors. Nevertheless, the disease recurrence is probable after RFA application partially due to the inadequate capability of temperature monitoring of the target tissue and visualizing the thermal damage. The goal of this work was t...
متن کاملThe assessment of function, histopathological changes, and oxidative stress in liver tissue due to ionizing and non-ionizing radiations
Background: Compared to past decades, humans are exposed to rapidly increasing levels of radiofrequency electromagnetic radiations (RF-EMF). Despite numerous studies, the biological effects of human exposure to different levels of RF-EMF are not fully understood, yet. This study aimed to evaluate the bioeffects of exposure to "900/1800 MHz" and “2.4 GHz" RF-EMFs, and x-rays as well as their pot...

Background: Primidone is effective in the treatment of epilepsy. In this research, effect of primidone on levels of liver enzymes and liver tissue change in adult male rats was studied. Material and Methods: For this purpose, 40 adult male wistar rats, weighing approximately 180-200 g were divided into 5 groups of 8 animals. Groups: control group, Sham group and treatment at doses of 20, 40, 60...
